Overpromise? Check. Underdeliver? Check. Good to know we're still playing Eve.
I only tease those I love. Really disappointed that we can't try it out though.

Seems that way doesn't it? Either that or they've gone through a Duke Nukem-esque re-re-re-redevelopment cycle which I suspect is what really happened.
I can understand totally unexpected bugs though, I suppose. This is a big new feature. Big bugs will happen. Even something that seems minor becomes a real ***** to fix.
Things like tracking agents or corp member lists or fleet lists that say where a character last was or and what ship they're in... what happens to them? Where are station characters considered to be in the game? And how old is all that code?
It's been in there for ages. Hopefully this means they can rewrite some of that old crap while they're fixing all the new bugs.

Load-station environment = off please.
Please allow us to save graphics processing by disabling this "feature".
Look everyone! He's kewl and l33t because he just doesn't care about Incarna! Way kewler than any of you can ever be. Because he... Just! Doesn't! Care!
He doesn't care so much that he will make sure you KNOW just HOW MUCH he doesn't care!

Actually CCP made it abundantly clear that they will be forcing everyone to go out of their pod. Every single time you dock.
No, that's not clear at all.
You are assuming balcony view = automatic exiting from ship. It's more likely that the balcony view doesn't even load the Incarna graphics at first and that it simply replaces our current station spinning environment. If so, it won't be much more graphically intense than the current stations.
If the balcony view is just part of your quarters, why would they point it out as a seperate feature? Why point out that it was made specifically to replace the current station view?

Oh believe me, I've read that blog many times. I think what you are seeing is a case of poor wording and a little bit of hyperbole. Your character = your POV while in balcony view. Not your new avatar. It simply makes no sense that they would load the Incarna environment and eject you from your ship every time you dock.
That doesn't even mesh with what we've seen from Incarna demos. There was docked, and there was exited from the ship. They were kept seperate in the demos. Is it possible it's changed and you exit your pod every time you dock now? Sure. For sake of quick station loading and a seamless transition, as promised, would that make any sense at all to do it that way? No.
Either way whatever they've done is done. All of us are arguing in ignorance here. Day after tomorrow, we will know.

They never said what they were going to deliver.
Maybe they delivered a lie. And if they followed through on deliverying a lie, was it really a lie?
